Welcome to My Personal Finance Skills
My Personal Finance Skills delivers free financial education workshops to schools across the country to help students understand more about money and leave school ‘life-ready’. Sessions are targeted at students across KS3-5 (11-18 years old) are ideal for enrichment days, PSHE/Citizenship lessons or career insight days and can help you meet some of the Gatsby benchmarks.
Since its inception in 2019, we have supported schools and non-academic establishments across the UK with the help and commitment of our volunteers. To date we have delivered our workshops to over 100,000 students. We have now resumed our in-school programme with hybrid option still available. Where there is no availability, sessions will be delivered via a platform of the school’s choice such as MS Teams or Zoom.

On the left: My Personal Finance Skills and ITN Productions Industry News have co-produced an online news-style programme Financial Wellbeing. The focus of this segment is around the My Personal Finance Skills initiative that delivers free financial education to schools across the UK via a network of Education Champions, members of the Chartered Insurance Institute and Personal Finance Society. With the participation of staff and students from Aylesford School along with Educators and Education Champions Sue Eadon-Butler and Robert Boland.
On the right: Students from the college, and participants in the programme, used the opportunity of experienced professionals delivering free financial education (in this case Education Champion, Robert Boland) to produce a short video as part of a separate college project. Due to increased demand of the programme, we encourage schools to provide at least 3-4 weeks’ notice of a request and try to space workshops out i.e. 2 or 3 sessions at a time to increase the chance of securing a facilitator. If your request is in less than 4 weeks, please let us know and we will call you.

Accredited for focus on financial education
The My Personal Finance Skills workshops have been awarded the Financial Education Quality Mark by Young Money. The workshops are based on the Financial Education Planning framework and compliment financial education provision.
