Frequently Asked Questions

The workshops are part of the Personal Finance Society’s My Personal Finance Skills programme. The Personal Finance Society is the professional body for personal finance processionals. All financial education workshops have been awarded the Financial Education Quality Mark by Young Money.

Both in-school and online financial education sessions are for students in KS3-5 (11-18 year olds). You can find out more about all our workshops and much more by downloading our school brochure here.

All our sessions are delivered either in-school (preferred method) or remotely using Zoom or Ms Teams. During this period of uncertainty, one thing is certain; we are flexible with in-school and remote delivery of sessions to ensure students can still access free financial education.

Workshops are delivered by a network of volunteers who are personal finance professionals and members of The Personal Finance Society. These local professionals have undergone a process of training and passed our sign-off process to deliver workshops at your school. As with other external visitors, our volunteers are not required to have a DBS certificate so we expect schools to accompany them at all times during their visit.

You can book as many workshops as you like and we work to fulfil your request. We may also be able to tailor the workshop for your school.

The workshops are designed for groups of 30-35 students. However we can accommodate more students by running multiple sessions.

Workshops last 1 hour and are ideal for enrichment days, PHSE/Citizenship lessons or career insight days – as well as any other timetabled lesson.

Please let us know when booking and we can explore.

Workshops are delivered via a network of personal finance professionals who are part of a pro bono initiative that provides schools & colleges with free financial education workshops nationally.

Our free in-school financial education workshops delivered by one of our network of Education Champions is at the core of what we do and something we are proud to offer. Furthermore, the professional insights and knowledge that our volunteers have to offer your students is what makes the My Personal Finance Skills programme so special.

We are taking booking for our in-school face to face sessions in line with a school’s policy for external visitors. Where this is not possible, we are able to deliver a session remotely.
